Welcome

Welcome

The APOS/POSNZ ICL course will be in Queenstown New Zealand, Wednesday 30th – Friday 1st September, 2017 inclusive.

This will run immediately prior to the combined New Zealand & Australian Paediatric Orthopaedic Scientific Meeting which is on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd, September.

The Instructional Course this year will run over 3 days It will be unique in that it is being supported by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of America (POSNA). Seven leading Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons from North America will be coming as faculty as well as the local surgeons from New Zealand and Australia.

The program for the ICL course over the first 2 days (Wednesday and Thursday) will be run as per the previous course content with a focus on the Spine Module. The Friday will be dedicated as a POSNA/APOS/POSNZ day and will feature instructional lectures from the North American faculty.

As part of the POSNA support for this meeting we are also able to host some South Pacific orthopedic surgeons with an interest in paediatrics.

The visiting surgeons are also staying on for the combined Australia / New Zealand meeting so that will be a great two days as well.

The meeting will be held at the Millineum Hotel in downtown Queenstown. The surrounding mountains will be covered in snow so we encourage delegates to extend their travel to enjoy the ski fields and many other activities Queenstown has to offer, maybe lunch at one of the many vineyards or golf at the spectacular Queenstown golf course.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important for everyone to register early as hotel accommodation is limited at this peak time of the year and we cannot hold rooms.

The 3 day ICL meeting and 2 day combined meeting will be a Paediatric Orthopaedic Extravaganza. Combined with the beauty of Queenstown this will be a truly great event. Please save the date and register as soon as possible.

See you all here
